This study aims to analyze the effect of social media scrolling habits on learning concentration among 12th grade students of SMAK 7 Penabur Jakarta. The background of this research is based on the increasing use of social media among adolescents, which has the potential to create distractions in the learning process. This study used a quantitative research method with data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews involving 44 students. The results show that the majority of students experience difficulties in maintaining concentration while studying, which are influenced by internal factors such as fatigue and external factors such as the learning environment and digital distractions from social media. Furthermore, social media scrolling habits were found to contribute to decreased learning concentration, delays in studying activities, and difficulties in refocusing after using social media. These findings indicate that uncontrolled use of social media can hinder students’ learning effectiveness. Therefore, better management of social media use and learning strategies that minimize digital distractions are needed to improve students’ concentration in academic activities.
